A Great Recipe Against Cold and Cough ! – Take Onion.

In the season of colds, flu and low immunity there is nothing more welcomed than a hot and healthy soup. The onion as a vegetable has many nutritional and healing actions. In case of high temperature or fever, it is cut in pieces or circles and is put on each foot and we dress socks. In order to stop the coughing and the sore throat, beside the old recipe with onion pieces that you put on the neck and cover them with a piece of material, here we recommend you a new and check recipe for home made syrup against coughing.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sliced onion
- ½ cup honey
- 1 spoon cloves
- 1 spoon ginger
Preparation:
In a deeper pot we put the sliced onion with the spices. ½ cup honey is added. It is left to boil on a low temperature for 20 minutes and we melt in several times. The pot should be closed all the time.
After 20 minutes it is taken away from the fire and is drained. The fluid is poured into a glass jar with a firm cover and is kept in a dark place for several weeks. The dosage for children under the age of 10 is 1 small spoon, and for children over the age of 10 and adults is 1 normal spoon.
*It is not recommended to take a honey in the nutrition for children under the age of 1.
